Everything — accounts, balances, imported transactions, budgets, and snapshots — saves automatically to your browser's local storage. It persists across refreshes and restarts on your device, even without signing in. Your browser processes CSV file(s) locally and nothing leaves your device unless you choose to sync. You can export your transactions as a CSV anytime from the Spending tab.
Signing in backs up your full data — accounts, transactions, budgets, categories, and snapshots — directly to your Google account via Firebase. Readable only by you, enforced at the database level. Sign in on any device to restore everything instantly.
Firebase Analytics automatically collects three event types: first_visit (first time you open the app), session_start (each visit), and page_view (each navigation). Each includes: browser language, page URL, screen resolution, and a randomly generated anonymous client ID. No names, emails, financial figures, or account data are ever included. All of this is blockable with any ad blocker.
